Our cabinets are not what is classed as fire-proofed - and we do not
therefore claim that they give any form of fire-protection to the
contents. Such products - double-skinned and filled with fire retardant
material - are available from specialist manufacturers at a high price
premium. With a normal steel cabinet in a severe fire, although the
unit itself will not catch alight, the content will simply "cook"
(char). We do have certification to BS 476: Part 7: ‘Surface spread of
flame’ for our painted surfaces and for our plastic tambours.Bisley are unable to provide keys however you can purchase spares direct
from our supplier Lowe & Fletcher, details are on our customer services page.
