External Qam Tune
I have comcast extended basic cable plan. channels up to 100 i think. I
am looking for an external card that will be able to read all the
digital channels[not HD, just regular] I have been reading that comcast
tends to encrypts its qam channels. I am assuming that qam stand for all
digital.Now i am able to get the majority of the channels with
regular cable ready tv's. We only have one Set top box, and everything
else is directly connected to TV's. At one point we had a VCR connected
to an even older TV and we only got up to channel 13. I would guess that
1-13 where analog, and that the regular TV's can decode the digital
channels up to about 50 or so?So if i were to buy a Tuner card
that could view clear qam, or unscrambled qam[same thing right?] i
should be all set to view MTV VH1, Discover, TLC, and so on correct?
