Well if your in the states. Your TV will have to have NTSC. It not so much a feature as a method of signal delivery in the U.S. For instance, in Europe, another signaling format is used-PAL. ATSC is signaling format for broadcast over the air. If your TV is equipped with a ATSC tuner. Then you will be able to connect a antenna to the input and receive Digital signals over the air, without cable or satelllite feeds. Typically all your local channels broadcast over air, although not all do in HD yet. Ideally, you would like a ATSC tuner for backup, to not pay for locals with satellite. And alot of times the reception is actually better, its odd but its true.
