Gary Merson writes or has written for just about every magazine in the
consumer electronics business. He even writes and publishes his own
newsletter, the HDTV Insider. Subscriptions are available for $500/year.
Don’t ask for a discount, though. Even Digital TV’s Editor doesn’t get
one. Presumably this is something Gary learned in Business school. He
also learned audio recording and has a certificate to prove it. He
combined the degree and certificate to help him start a hi-fi store and
later manage high-end audio and computer retail stores. Gary traded this
lucrative life in, though, after becoming certified by the Imaging
Science Foundation (ISF) in the art of video calibration and realizing
that this was his true calling.
